What is mindful eating?

Basic mindful eating practices

  • Give yourself permission to eat the foods you want – choosing satisfying aromas and textures.
  • Minimize distractions
  • Slow down
  • Pay attention to your fullness – aim to stop eating when you are comfortable, satisfied & content.

Tips to keep in mind

  • Start practicing the strategy that really resonates with you right now.
  • It’s not possible to “fail” at mindful eating. It is a practice you can return to at any time.
  • Occasionally eating past the point of comfort is a very normal and part of the human experience.
